Since 1973, the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, operated by Koala Conservation Australia Limited, has been a beacon of hope for koalas in need. This licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and conserving koalas, with the invaluable support of approximately 200 dedicated volunteers.
KCA/PMKH’s mission is to provide specialised care to koalas every single day of the year. The Koala Hospital is equipped with a clinic, an intensive care unit, a permanent resident area, and rehabilitation yards. Skilled wildlife veterinarians and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure koalas receive top-notch care and support.
